Given your priority list and places you've already been, first suggestions would be Thailand (November is the start of high season and cooler/dryer weather there) as part of a larger SE Asia tour, or Croatia as part of a larger Central/Eastern European tour, if you don't mind cooler temps and wish to go in October instead of November.

Quite simply, Paris. You haven't been as far as I can see. It's a bucket list destination.

You've gotten tons of great advice. Venice is the most romantic place. If you haven't been, you must go.
I'll just add when I first read your post my first thought was South of France..Nice, Eze, St. Paul de Vence, Cannes, St. Tropez. Good food and wine, temperate, biking, hiking, lots of history. Happy anniversary! |
A safari in Africa, either south or east Africa. Seeing the big game animals roam free is an amazing sight. I think of the two, I would say South Africa. Book a first class safari, and combine a visit to Cape Town and surrounding sights.

This has been so fun to have so many help with suggestions. I have been researching your suggestions & getting excited about narrowing down the possibilities. There hasn't been a bad suggestion on the list. An African safari would be crazy fun. I've been checking out a Windstar cruise from Venice to Athens thinking it would be great to spend a few days in Venice & then end with a few days in Athens but I'm still researching. Just so thankful to be young & healthy enough to get to go exploring plus celebrating a wonderful 50 years.
