Where to go Easter Weekend?!

Never thought I'd be one of those who ask this question, but...

Decided to get away this Easter Weekend and can be away from Thu evening to Mon evening. Have been to Boston, Maine (Acadia NP), NYC.

Looking for suggestions for a budget get away (<$1,500 all told). 2 adults - we like nature (kayaking, hiking), dining, browsing. Just want to get away from the Maritimes (Halifax) and relax in hopefully warmer climes!

Any thoughts appreciated! Enjoy-la!

Hi Keith,

Thx for the reply...I took a look I guess I waited "too last minute"...LOL! A lot of stuff sold out (and I just realized a lot of hot destinations only do in it on a 1 week mins). I'll get away but probably a road trip locally...better than nothing.

Enjoy-la!

Don't have specific answer, but I have always wished there was a website where you could enter your departure city and it would search for last minute hotel/air package for last minute trip. Do not know if Delta flies to Halifax, but if you monitor their labor situation and they do not go on strike, you might be able to get an air deal with them since threatened strike has scared away a lot of people.

Hi..
Trying using www.site59.com
Great for last minute deals and they have Halifax and just plug in where you want to go..
I would go to where it is warm like Vegas, Phoenix, Tucson or San Diego or Palm Springs..
$1,500 for 2. Hopefully you can do it..
Also, Go direct to the major Hotel Chains and see if they have any internet or in-house specials..
I am a big fan of expedia.com and they have the last minute link..
Did you check Aircanada.com
Have fun..

Hi gail & TahitiTams (love that...LOL!)

Thx a mint for your replies. I checked out the Delta & Site 59. Site 59 is pretty close to what gail was wishing for! Unfortunately, nothing appealed to me (Cleveland, Pittsburgh, etc.) for the $ I was willing to spend. But, I'll keep them in mind for future not-so-last-minutes...LOL!

I'm going to go the other way and take a jaunt over to the east coast of Prince Edward Island...won't be great temps but I've never explored that side of the island and at least I'll feel like I got away. Thx again.

Enjoy-la!

In my market, this morning American Airlines posted some low fares for this weekend to select cities.

Travelocity's last minute deals change through the day and day to day, as the limited places are bought up and the airlines release additional seats on under booked flights.
