Where to find last minute trips?
Hi Fodorites!!

This site is so great!! I just got word that my husband can get off the Friday before MLKJr. day (Jan. 17-20), so we would LOVE to get away for a long weekend somewhere warm, where the sun is shining!! We are from NYC, and it is bitter cold here, and neither of us has been able to take vacation due to work constraints, and mismatched schedules.

What good sites or agencies offer last minute vacations that we should look into?

Thanks a million!!

Lucy and Steve

Never used it myself, but I do get e-mail from http://www.site59.com/
It has a lot of useful last minute information.

Try Expedia. Great last minute vacation getaway packages--hotel, air and car if you want, all wrapped up in one.

Check out the American Express travel website; they offer last minute packages.
I recently booked a "last minute" vacation 3 weeks in advance (if you can call that last minute) for a 4-day weekend in New Orleans. It cost only $290 per person for airfare from NYC and 3 nights hotel (2 people). Got it through Expedia. Yahoo Travel also has last-minute vacations. Last year we did a 3-day weekend in San Francisco thru Yahoo for a good rate.

Get the Sunday Travel Section of the New York Times. There are tons and tons of cheap charters (especially last minute) out of the metro NYC area.

www.skyauction.com is my fave.

You can use Priceline last minute. Also, I believe Orbitz has a last minute deal choice when you go to the website.
