For a very nice establishment where you can eat in a beautiful private patio, at the bar, or at a table, I will reiterate my choice of Broussard's Restaurant. It's one of the old traditional N.O. eateries with just fantastic food and lots of choices. Just google Broussard's and you can find a lot more about it. Good luck.

A friend loved the Dry Dock Cafe in Algiers; we took the free ferry across the river. The catfish po' boys and the sweet potato fries were very good! We also enjoyed walking around Algiers....it was a very quaint little town, and many of the residents were happy to tell us about the history of some of the gorgeous old homes!
