Where to eat between Orlando and Palm Beach

We will be driving from Orlando to Boca Raton and would like to find a nice place for dinner. Dress should be casual : shorts and sandals. We'd really like a good local place (not a big chain restaurant), possibly with a view of the water. A local seafood place would be nice but other alternatives would be considered. I guess it could be on the Treasure Coast or north of Palm Beach. Price is not really an issue but let us know how your suggestion would be classified (moderate, expensive, etc). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi, DMG.....here's a place we like in Juno Beach, though it's not on the water:

For waterfront (ICW) dining, you might check out this place in Palm Beach Gardens:

Both links have menu buttons, so you can get an idea of prices. Enjoy your trip !

Thanks. Will check them out.

Any other suggestions?

I love Waterway Cafe for happy hour when in Palm Beach. Great conch fritters.

Another great place in Juno Beach, Capt. Charlie's Reef Grill:

Excellent fish & seafood. Moderately priced & casual.

Also, a little farther north in Jupiter, The Food Shack:

Also casual & moderate price, carribean style seafood, excellent fish.

If the weather is fine, and you want to dine outside, here is a really pretty place, on a creek:

A good way to sum that place up: Swiss Family Robinson with table service.

If you like beer, another place is The Yard House in Palm Beach Gardens, right off of I-95. They have about 80 beers on tap, and the food is quite good.

Thanks for your suggestions. We shall try some of them another time. (This trip we wound up eating at the Ocean Grill in Vero Beach and enjoyed it.)
