Where to eat???

Hello everyone!
In mid-August, I will be visiting a friend who just moved to DC earlier this yaer. We generally will be catching up with each other since we haven't seen each other in years, but it's really going to be a girl's weekend out! Does anyone have any recommendations for restaurants? We'll likely spend some time shopping in the Georgetown area and will also be visiting a couple of museums on the mall.
She lives west of town in McLean, so anything out that way would be great too. She's still new to the area, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
THANKS!

It would help if your headline were, "Where to eat in Washington DC."

LeighB - I took my daughter to Sesto Senso and she loved it. It is a small, Italian restaurant close to the Mayflower Hotel on Connecticut and Burberrys. The food is good, the waiters are good-looking, professional and nice (what more could you want) It draws a 20 something crowd. It seems to turn into a nightclub later but I couldn't tell you what time or what kind of music.

there is a kind of fun bbq place in gtown next to the ben and jerry's. glory, or something i think is what it's called. they bring your meat and you pick from about 6 bottles of bbq sauce already on the table. good place for lunch, but not a nice (fancy) dinner.

I have compiled a list of cheap eats in DC on one of my blogs (http://gretchenthehouseholddeity.blo...ats-in-dc.html), including a few choices in Georgetown.

I have a friend who lives in McLean, and when I make the trek out there to meet her we usually go to Pulcinella, a reasonably cute/well-priced/good Italian restaurant. (http://pulcinellaitalianhost.com/menu.php3)

The Irish Pub next to Phoenix Park hotel was a fun place to go, they have entertaiment as well so if you want something reasonably priced and central, it's about a 5 minute walk from Union Station. I was there last month, can recommend the Chicken Pot Pie.

Thanks for the suggestions so far, everyone! I'm sure we'll have a blast and now we have a few ideas on where to go!
