Where to dine in Hilton Head

Five days without the children and I'd like to treat my wife to a very romantic dinner and dancing in mid May. Any advice?

It's been five years since we've been to Hilton Head, but we truly enjoyed our experience at the Old Oyster Factory. Service was very good, as was food, and the overlook of Broad Creek was beautiful. Believe they have live entertainment on the back deck. Here's an addy: <BR>http://www.hiltonheadisland.com/oldoyster.htm

The Cafe Europa in Harbour town is very nice for dinner, I dont know what to recommend for dancing as HH is a casual place.

the only restaurant that offers dinner and dancing is the Kingfisher at Shelter Cove, they have live music nightly from 6:30 to 10. I don't think the place is romantic though. Perhaps try eating at The Gaslight 2000 (french) Stellini(Italian-off Pope Ave)or Charleston's, then go dancing. The Hilton Resort used to have a live band some nights for dancing, but I'm not sure if they have started it yet.

Couple of years ago (4?) we had a fun dinner at a place right downtown, on the second floor of the shopping complex, where the decor was that of a World War II Mash unit. It was a Friday night and they had a 1940s band playing on the side with the dance floor. Very touristy, I guess, but the meal was pretty good, and the drinks were great (I still have one of the little green army guys that came along with the umbrella in my tropical drink sitting atop my computer monitor!). The music was fun to listen to, even if we are a bit young for the era. If my husband were a dancer, I think it would have been fun to dance to, also....I wouldn't call it "romantic" but it was a lot of fun.
