Where to buy non-alcoholic wine in Key West?
I'm off to KW this weekend for some relaxation. We have a suite with private courtyard and I'm hoping to relax in the jacuzzi with some mucnhies and favorite beverages nearby. My favorite drink is the better quality non-alcholic wines available from Sutter Home and the like. Anyone know if theseare available for purchase in KW or will I have to lug a few bottles with me? I do NOT want the sparkling grape juice availabel in many regular grocery stores as it's far too sweet. TIA!

Owen, will you have a car? If so there are NICE shops in Marathon you may buy some there. If not, and you are use to your special brand, Bring your own. Just pack it well.

Thanks Carol - We will be driving down from Miami during the day on Friday and will have time to stop in Marathon - which stores should we check?
|
Heck, if your coming in from Miami, buy it there. It probably will be much cheaper. Have fun on your trip - Cheers to you -
We are going in Februry. I would love to go now, I am so jealous. Let us know about the weather when you get back
I guess I'll just take my chances on Marathon - we plan to get on the highway directly from the airport and have no burning desire to detour into the city. Should be fun and weather predictions are showing a likely high 70's - low 80's day temps and high 60's to 70 at night. I'm shooting for warm especially onnFriday eveing as we have requested a beachside table at Hilton's restaurant on Sunset Key and it's availability is contingent on weather (I'm sure there are better restaurants in KW but the setting is amazing).

Also try the town Islemaroda (sp, not my strong suit).
Seeing that we live approx 70 miles from one another we both know that anything over 70 degress is heaven. We had our first snow yesterday. 1"

Winn Dixey and Albertsons down here both have very large wine/liquour stores. They would probably be your best bet. You could also try a shop called Grand Vin on Duval Street.

Thanks for all the input. A large gorcery store or specialty food store will be the best bet - few if any liquor stores (at least in NY and NJ) carry the non-alcoholic products. As for the snow... haven't had any here in the NY area yet but I'll be in Syracuse three days this week and next week - that's sure to provide me with enough contrast to really enjoy KW!
