Where to buy discount briefcases / luggage in NYC
 

Anyone know of a good place to buy briefcases in NYC at discount prices - not necessarily super cheap but maybe seconds or discontinued or samples or something like that.

Supercheap yes ... almost anywhere along 14th Street. Discounted or seconds, perhaps at Century 21. There are a lot of good luggage stores in NYC, but none that are particularly cheap. You'd want to go to an outlet mall for that. There's a really excellent Tumi outlet at Woodbury Common.

All the discount stores like TJ Maxx, Loehmann's, Century 21, Nordstrom Rack will have briefcases.

Staples often has good prices on leather cases and folders. Also check Burlington Coat Factory on 6th and 23rd and any of the Daffy's stores, my fav is 34th and 6th.

And yes check Canal St, the "genuine leather" cases are NOT genuine OR leather.
