Where should we go or see in Florida??? Help me!!

Hi everyone,

My wife, two teen daughters and me are planning a first trip to Florida for 15 days in this december.
We will drive with a pop up camper from Boston.
So we are going to stay at campgrounds as many as we can.
We also bought Walt Disney World tickets for 2 days already.
We love road trip(In the last summer we drove to California and came back to Boston. it,s one month road trip...haha) and I am a serious amature photographer.
My daughters are 14 and 13.

For us, would you recommend places to go, things to see, things to do or camp sites to stay?
If you pick up ten places we should go in Florida, where are they?
Where should I go to take nice Florida's land scape photos?

We will spend about 10 days in Florida.

Thank you so much in advance
Soon Park

This recent thread has good advice from several of Fodor's best Florida experts. Camp sites are not addressed.

I can offer that Sebastian Inlet State Park has one of the most popular camp sites. You must reserve as early as possible. If you are including the Keys. Bahia Honda is excellent and also must be reserved in advance.

The Keys and the waterways offer superb photo ops.

Our state parks are excellent for photography: http://www.floridastateparks.org/ Click on any of the parks, then click on the photo gallery for the park and you'll see what I mean. Payne's Prairie near Gainesville, St. George Island in the panhandle, and Kissimmee Prairie Preserve are some of my favorites.

In addition to the places already mentioned, here are three with nice white sand beaches to walk, near other attractions: Amelia Island has a couple very nice parks with beaches at the far north part of the state (interesting history at the other end of the island); Anastasia Beach State Park is a fab place to camp (very) near St. Augustine (a must-see in my book); Bahia Honda State Park has a nice campground in the keys on the way to Key West.

If you're near the Panhandle, St Joseph State Park has the most beautiful beach and good camp sites. http://www.floridastateparks.org/STJOSEPH/

Ft DeSoto park near Tampa is just beautiful-it is one of our favorite places in Florida.

I also agree with Ft DeSoto. Beautiful. We love the St Pete Beach area! http://www.pinellascounty.org/park/05_Ft_Desoto.htm
