where should we go next?
 

My husband,myself and 2 small children went to Topsail Island(north end) last year and loved it!!The house we stayed in was just built and very nice. The north end of the Island wasn't cramped or touristy and we want that type of beach vacation again but in a different area. Does anyone have other suggestions. We would like to go end of May 07 Thanks!

Where is topsail island? And where are you from? how far do you want to go away from where you live?

You may also enjoy the Brunswick Islands further south. I would choose any of them over Topsail. Holden Beach, Sunset Beach & Oak Island are all great alternatives & the first two are less 'touristy;' than Topsail. If you want to trafvel even farther south...Amelia Island (FL.) comes to mind.

Plenty to do, quite beautiful and pretty places to stay. May will be perfect weather..

Let me suggest the Armstrong Cottage, rented out by Century 21, between Surf City and Topsail Beach on topsail Island. We've rented there three times in the past four years and love it. We had five children when we rented Armstrong last October. We'll have another this October when we rent Armstrong this October.

Sorry i forgot to mention where Topsail was. It is located in North Carolina. Also to answer the other questions that Steviegene had I am from Kansas City and was just looking for a relaxing beach vacation on the East coast. I thank you all for your advice! It sure does help.

Pony, if it ain't broke why fix it? In other words, if you loved Topsail island and the great house, why not go back?
