where should there be a hostel in the USA??????????

I don't even understand the question!

Are you asking for cities that don't have a hotel that should have one? Or cities that do???

What are you talking about? Nearly all of the major cities in the USA have hostels. Do you mean like, they should build a hostel on top of Teddy Roosevelt's head at Mt. Rushmore?

There aren't many hostels in New England - i think it would be nice to find anykind of budget accomodation in Rhode Island, for example.

Hostelling International.They have hostels all over the world and the US-check with them.

There are at least 32 hostels in New England. How many do you want? Youth travel to Rhode Island doesn't have the traffic to support a hostel. Mass is just so much more popular for young travellers.
