What are you talking about? Nearly all of the major cities in the USA have hostels. Do you mean like, they should build a hostel on top of Teddy Roosevelt's head at Mt. Rushmore?

There aren't many hostels in New England - i think it would be nice to find anykind of budget accomodation in Rhode Island, for example.

Hostelling International.They have hostels all over the world and the US-check with them.

There are at least 32 hostels in New England. How many do you want? Youth travel to Rhode Island doesn't have the traffic to support a hostel. Mass is just so much more popular for young travellers.
