Where should I go in Florida?

We will be traveling and staying around New Smyrna Beach with family. I'd like to take a few days away from the general area, possibly Cocoa beach, amelia island, vero beach. ANy suggestions? Thanks!

To me, the Vero area has the most underrated beach on Fla's east side. Check out Sebatian Inlet. Great beach. Wonderful setting. Also, a must see in Cocoa is Ron-Jon's, the world's largest (I think) surf shop. <BR>Frankly, everyplace you mention is pretty much all the same. I don't necessarily mean that in a bad way; that's just the way it is in Florida, along the coast.

i would drive up A1A to St. Augustine. or if you're into the space program go to KSC.

We really enjoyed visiting some of the many springs which are usually in Florida State Parks. It is a very different experience from the usual beach scenery.

Wow..if you can't figure out where to go...take a map..pin it on the wall...close eyes..throw dart...Where it lands is where you stay!

If you decide to go to Cocoa Beach, some good restaurants are Florida Seafood, Fisherman's Wharf and Frankie's (located by the Port). Have fun!!
