I JUST returned from Kauai, where I celebrated my 52nd birthday.

Definitely go to The Beach House - it is fabulous - food, service, all of it. (From what we heard, it is even better than it was under the previous ownership.) We loved it so much we ate there twice! This was just a week ago (Feb 24 and 28) and we made 6:15 reservations - about 20 minutes after being seated, the sun began to go down and diners wandered out to the lawn to watch and take photos.

My favorite dish of the two nights was the Wasabi-encrusted opakapaka. Their baby greens are incredible, as is the creme brule.

When you make your reservation, do mention that it is your birthday.

Aloha!
