Where should I go?

Hi! I know this is really late but our plans for the holidays fell through and now we want to go somewhere. We live in NYC and not sure where we should go? Some place warm or quebec city? We are flexible on dates but everything seems so expensive!!

Help,
Sudhin

If Quebec City attracts, perhaps you would also enjoy Paris--easy to get to from NYC and good hotel deals are available.

I do want to go to Quebec city. But airfares are too expensive and I just found out that rail travel is $250 RT and it takes 13 hours on the train!! Not sure if driving is smart with the unexpected weather..

If you don't mind the cold, maybe try to find a last minute rental in Vermont (Stowe, Killington, Mt. Snow)? Skiing

Are you going for a long weekend or the entire week? Saturday's weather for the northeast doesn't look too good. Ski areas have been making snow but doubt if you'll find any snow for snowshoeing and cross country skiing. All the New England resorts plan a festive New Years. Find a place with a spa and great indoor pool?
If you're looking for good restaurants and museums maybe head to Boston. I heard recently that it was in the 70s in coastal North Carolina. Beach houses are very reasonable off season but it's also a very quiet area off season. (And warm but leafless doesn't sound like fun to me although beach walking was nice when we spent Thanksgiving there one year.) Maybe see what kind of rates to go Southwest to someplace like Vegas.

There are great deals for this time of year, because people don't travel. Try Las Vegas or Atlantic City.

Maybe I should, but I don't know who you are so how can I tell you where to go? Seriously, what I mean is you don't say anything about who you are (age, sex) how long you want to go, what your budget is. So without that info, I'll say go to San Diego. Or go to site59.com which has last minute pkgs.

Try flying on Christmas Day. We've gotten some amazing deals that way.

Hi everyone, So here's some info. We are a couple from NYC in our late 20's. We are flexible about days of travel and length of travel and we tend not to like resorts, las vegas or atlantic city..

I will check out the site and travel on christmas..

Thanks,
Sudhin
