Where's Freaky Friday 8/31??

This is the first time I've had a free second to get online so was the post pulled or was it the gremlins preventing posts from opening that caused it to be missing??

I need my FFRR fix!!!

brandie346 Aug 31st, 2006 11:13 AM

It's Thursday...

Kal Aug 31st, 2006 11:15 AM

<hic> IT IS???? b(

bonniebroad Aug 31st, 2006 11:15 AM

OWJ, I'm sending you a cyberdrink ... sip slowly and relax! :p

((D))

GoTravel Aug 31st, 2006 11:23 AM

I've thought the same thing all day OWJ because of Ernesto.

We are all sitting on pins and needles waiting for it to be upgraded to a hurricane (it was 4 mph away from hurricane strength at the 2PM update) and it is still over open water.

GoTravel Aug 31st, 2006 11:24 AM

BTW, today would be Thirsty Thursday instead of Freaky Friday:-D

Kal Aug 31st, 2006 11:37 AM

I'll celebrate with "Ernesto y Julio Gallo."

It may as well be Friday because 99% of people will be off tomorrow or just goofing around at work anyway tomorrow. :O)

JJ5 Aug 31st, 2006 11:44 AM

Everyone here left early TODAY and won't be here tomorrow. I'm running the assylum. YIKES!

kureiff Aug 31st, 2006 11:53 AM

Ooh, Thirsty Thursday with Ernesto y Jullio Gallo.

Sign me up!

BeachGirl247 Aug 31st, 2006 12:03 PM

You guys are funny! I think we should start a "Thirsty Thursday" -- as we say around our house 'its 5 o'clock somewhere!!'

btw, the gremlins are trying to raise their ugly head again.

An early rant: the freakin' fodors board!! I can't clean my house any more, I need my travel forum!!

Kal Aug 31st, 2006 12:12 PM

I was going to start a "So Happy It's Thursday" thread but thoguht better of it. :-"

OneWanderingJew Aug 31st, 2006 12:19 PM

OMG! Now everyone knows I'm an idiot!!

I didn't have to go to work today b/c I had to attend a workshop/inservice instead...can I blame it the fact I'm wearing jeans, my dress down Friday attire?

Maybe I really do need a drink. At least then I may have an excuse for my brain-farts!

GoT--Are you ok??

LoveItaly Aug 31st, 2006 12:37 PM

Hi OWJ, I thought it was Friday this morning also as my monthly hair appointment was yesterday (Wednesday) instead of the normal Thursday. As in "this is Friday as I got my hair trimmed and colored yesterday"..but noooo, it is only Thursday. I am glad I am not the only confused one, lol. Take care dear one. ((R))

Shanghainese Aug 31st, 2006 12:50 PM

TGIT??

annesherrod Aug 31st, 2006 01:15 PM

It can't be
Friday fast enough for me!!!!

:-)

FainaAgain Aug 31st, 2006 01:57 PM

OWJ, first of all, you are our idiot, and we love you anyway ;)

Second, you are not the first one to make this mistake. Jorr started the FFRR thread on Thursday couple of weeks back.

Third, it's easy to get confused as today is the last day of the month.

Forth, you must be tired and need the long weekend. And so do I :(

mikemo Aug 31st, 2006 02:29 PM

Pretty crazy.

OWJ: If it will make you feel any better, this morning I called The Globe & Mail(local newspaper) & told them that "The Friday Real Estate" Section was missing! The person on the other end was so cool...she said "Well, we will make sure that we get that to you first thing tomorrow morning!" Then I laughed & said "Good one!" when I realized that it was Thursday!! :)

FainaAgain Aug 31st, 2006 02:42 PM

It was long time ago... I made an appointment for the next teeth cleaning in 6 months, and was surprised they didn't call me to remind the day before, like they usually do.

The receptionist couldn't manage not to laugh. I showed up without a call A WHOLE MONTH EARLIER!

Now, who can beat that :) OWJ, compare to your only 1 day off, I was a whole month off!

P_M Aug 31st, 2006 03:52 PM

Oh dear Faina, that is pretty serious.... :-D

OWJ, I remember the Wednesday before Thanksgiving last year, I came to the board looking for the FFR&Rs. Wishing for Friday happens to the best of us. You must have something really interesting to tell us, or you wouldn't be so anxious to post. I will look forward to your R&Rs with great anticipation. Of course, I always do that anyway. :-)

So Happy It's Thursday, yeah that would make an interesting acronym. :-"

Scarlett Aug 31st, 2006 03:58 PM

I hate to say this but everyday is a weekend to us so I have lost all track of time. Thank goodness for the date and time on the computer!!
There are times when FFRR remind me of what day it is :D

BeachGirl247 Aug 31st, 2006 04:10 PM

Oh, Faina! I did something very similar!

I was in Homeland and ran into a friend who was buying a card for his sister because her birthday was on the 16th. I freaked out remembering my MOTHER's birthday was the 16th, too! So I scoured the crappy flower packages and sappy cards and rushed over to her house Running in yelling "happy birthday, happy birthday" only to find her and my father at the kitchen table looking at me like I was from Mars. Hmmm, I was DEFINATELY the first in the family to wish my mother 'happy birthday' an entire MONTH ahead of everyone else!

We still get a good laugh out of that one!

OneWanderingJew Aug 31st, 2006 04:28 PM

PM--Don't be holding your breath for any earth-shattering news from me. It's been a looong, busy week but that's about it!

P_M Aug 31st, 2006 05:06 PM

OK, I've just exhaled. :-[

Kal Aug 31st, 2006 05:14 PM

What color IS the sky in your world Faina? >:D<

FainaAgain Sep 1st, 2006 12:05 PM

Kal: it's always pink and smiling at me :)

OK, here is another story, this time not mine. I read it on the European board.

Somebody went to Italy, and when the time came, they went to check out of the hotel. The clerk looked at them funny, asking questions like didn't you enjoy staying here? any problems?

Turned out, they've attempted to check out a day early! They were so happy to have one more day in Italy!

What I've learned from this lesson: always take my alarm clock on any trip, it shows the date! LOL
