Where or What is Peahe? (Maui)
 

I was watching Laird Hamilton on a video and he surfed "Peahe". I would assume its on the north side of Maui but I can't find it so I am thinking that it must be a type of wave (like Jaws) rather than a location. Anyone know?

Nope, That's what I thought first but it definately is Peahe. If you google it, there are two hits both with a video but no specific information, however, it was in a Starz on Demand movie, Riding Giants.

I've only heard it referred to in the movie " Steip Into Liquid."

It's spelled Peahi - location of Jaws.

Well Offlady, That explains why I only got two his on google. ;)

Offlady is right... I believe it's located on the north shore, east of Paia and Hookipa. We plan to visit in March if we hear it's "going off". ;-)
