Rant: Hurricane Jeanne and all the people she affected, and will still affect.

Rave: Due to Jeanne, my flights for Miami were cancelled yesterday so that I can spend another week with my DH now that he's home!

Rave: There aren't going to be ANY MORE hurricanes this year, right folks? :)

Rave/Rant Depending on the time of the day: My wife's been away since Friday evening on business. It's been Dad weekend with my 3 year old and 18 month old daughter. So I guess it's been 1/3rd rant, 1/3 rave, 1/3rd him ranting her raving or vice versa.

Congratulations on the news. With both our children, we were warned of some potential medical issue after an ultra-sound or genetic testing. Both turned out to be non-issues and in researching both issues that were raised, we realized that one of the downsides of advancements in medical technology is the ability to warn of problems based on even the slightest evidence. From numerous articles and websites we realized that a good percentage of the time, it works out ok after the initial warning.

If you believe the information about Nelson Mandela's role in insighting the Sharpeville Massacre and his advocating violence as head of the Sword of the Nation movement in the early 1960's, then perhaps one might conclude that we have Nelson Mandela's operating in numerous countries. The question then becomes at what point those who advocate violence, as he clearly once did, recognize that non-violence is a better alternative as Mandela eventually did.
