LoveItaly Apr 22nd, 2005 04:41 PM

Hmmm, it is Friday night isn't it? Well boring me, I am having some ice water.

Was this week so bad that everyone forgot it is Friday evening. Guess I did!

Happy weekend everyone

OMG - I feel like the alcoholic around here.

Kahlua for me but in my defense I'm getting in the mood for Jamaica on Sunday :-)

tpatricco Apr 22nd, 2005 04:49 PM

Hi all! Happy Friday! Happy Weekend!

Just got home & need something to imbibe. It's so rainy and cold here I feel like I could use a hot toddie!

I'll report back after a trip to the bar... Trish

seetheworld Apr 22nd, 2005 04:52 PM

Okay, NOW things are picking up around here!

makai1 Apr 22nd, 2005 04:59 PM

just back from our fav mexican jaunt with the best margueritas... only 2... the boys made me ride in the back seat on the way home... something about being too rowdy... :D

girlonthego Apr 22nd, 2005 05:02 PM

Light beer and pizza for us here tonight! Watching movies and having a couple of brews.....I need to go on a diet. Summer is coming and I am feeling like a whale tonight. Three slices of pizza...ugggh...

Fodorite018 Apr 22nd, 2005 05:11 PM

Boring once again, but crystal light and homemade pizza. At least the pizza is exciting, lol! Would love a drink tonight, but we have to be up way too early for a track meet tomorrow.

I posted in the freaky friday thread, but today we got some encouraging news about DS:) So a sense of relief for the time being. The 1st opinion was not good, the one today was optimistic, so who knows what the 3rd one will bring. The head of the pediatric oncology dept at a hospital in the SF area is reviewing the case. I am anxiously waiting to hear!

girlonthego Apr 22nd, 2005 05:18 PM

MMS:I hope that the results from doc 3 is even better news!!! How nerve racking. Is this your sister? computer lingo...DS?
Good luck.

Fodorite018 Apr 22nd, 2005 05:31 PM

thanks:) no, it is our son. so that motherly protectiveness has been coming out in full force.

Statia Apr 22nd, 2005 05:32 PM

mms, good luck on your DS's further results. We'll be praying for you. Please keep us posted.

I'm here in Houston waiting on my own medical results and having a glass of Shiraz with my dear sister. We rented three DVD's, but between yak, yak, yakking and catching up, we've not gotten near watching a single flick and I doubt we will. Her DH is out of town, so it should be a fun night of girl talk (although I do love my BIL, as well).

Have a great night and weekend everyone.

girlonthego Apr 22nd, 2005 05:44 PM

Best wishes and prayers to your son MMS and to you also Statia.
I understand about the mother's protectiveness. Nothing is scarier than having your child sick or hurt. My prayers are with you all for quick recovery.

Jocelyn_P Apr 22nd, 2005 05:51 PM

Hi Statia. I hope your tests are not looking for anything serious. mms, I sent regards on the FF thread, but it's worth saying again that my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I'm too full to drink anything right now. I stuffed myself silly at dinner! There was a great-looking recipe in a magazine for Curried Lentil Burritos With Spiced Yogurt that I couldn't resist trying. It was so good I couldn't stop eating it! And to think that just today I bought my very first post-babies two piece swim suit...what was I thinking??? LOL

iceeu2 Apr 22nd, 2005 05:53 PM

So, Jocelyn, why not share your new recipe with us? Thanks.

Jocelyn_P Apr 22nd, 2005 05:55 PM

Because it has 25 ingredients! :) It's in the current Cuisine at Home magazine. I'll see if I can find an online link.

Jocelyn_P Apr 22nd, 2005 06:03 PM

I checked their website and they don't have that recipe available online. I think I could get in trouble if I posted it word for word here, so you'll have to look for it. It's the April issue.

Fodorite018 Apr 22nd, 2005 06:04 PM

thank you everyone:) the warm thoughts really do help.

statia--im praying for you too! what is up with so many of us going through such stressful times??? enjoy that girl time. next weekend i have 3 girlfriends coming from seattle for a girls night out...much needed!

jocelyn--sometimes recipes are worth the effort...post that recipe girl!

my dh has been gone all week and has a week to go still on his trip. i will really need a drink by next friday night!

PamT Apr 22nd, 2005 06:05 PM

Cold & rainy here in NW Wisconsin so I'm enjoying a Corona with lime thinking of a warmer place I'd rather be. Just got back from having fish fry at a
