where in US/Can to ski this/next week?
I would like to ski -- am off the next two wks and have flier miles avail. Question is: where is the snow still decent and where is the altitude relatively low (I have had alt. sickness in past--Taos). Any ideas? Has anyone skiied really recently? Thanks. I am an intermediate/adv. beginner.

Tahoe should be pretty nice, just bring your sunscreen. They got a huge base this winter. Northstar would be a good spot in Tahoe.
Whistler (in BC, Canada) covers a huge range of elevation, and the village is fairly low. Even if conditions at the bottom of the mountain are poor, there should be good skiing at the mid or top.

Tahoe hsn't had any fesh snow since March 3.
Whistler has the lowest elevation (2200 at the base) in the West.
Some other places with moderate (7000 at the base) altitude include Park City, Utah and Steamboat Springs, Colorado and Big Sky, montana.
