My opinion is that it's nice that you have so many options, corwin!

In San Diego where the evening is just beautiful. We walked a block to take the ferry over to Coronado and have dinner at Il Fornaio, then back again. I'm happy.

caph52, thanks for the good vibes and uplifting words.

sometimes i feel like i never do anything fun travel-wise when i've been reading about all the travels and gtg's fodorites are planning, departing for, sharing trip reports from . especially since my one chance to travel in 3 years was the california debacle.

i will make a promise to love whatever i do. and i wish the same to you for your thanksgiving.

traveling in my mind when i read about everyone's trips is a big part of what i truly enjoy about this forum. it's a bit like a waking-dream. i am so glad fodorites take the time to share so much.

Just got in from visiting and playing Scrabble with 2 of my favorite girlfriends. Drinking hot tea and talking about everything.

I was going to get busy sorting out travel notes for my upcoming trip but checked in here before getting started.

I am here in Sydney, the rain has been torrential all day washing away all the beautiful spring blossoms.

Just delaying doing the ironing by having a quick check on Fodors. Will make a hot chocolate soon, it is that kind of weather tonight.
Have a good night everyone.

Outside of Atlanta.
Got a mega report /project off via email around lunchtime today. Printing off the residual documentation/ research. By tomorrow, two massive work projects will be completely done and it will be time to celebrate - BIG TIME.

Skipped church to work. Did meet a friend at the theatre and truly enjoyed the National Touring company of the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

Need to take the labs on a walk before dark. Stepped outside for a few minutes and saw bats darting all across the sky catching bugs - hopefully, mostly mosquitos. If I'm lucky, I'll flush the blue heron and watch its majestic flight to the next pond.

Maybe the walk will help the blood pressure drop. Truly p'd off at an immature, know-it-all poster on this board who evidently can only cope by insults and slander. I did grin quite a bit watching grown adults act like kids on stage. If you've seen the show, you may guess who represented the slanderous poster - at least for me. Big smiles matching the poster's behavior to the actor on stage

Peaceful evening out in the country. I'll probably see the twin fawns - still spotted - and think about another post on this board today. What a strange, interrelated world this can be.

We had some sun, followed by two bizarre roof pounding downpours.. oh good, I'll have a fresh batch of poison mushrooms.. hmm, maybe instead of botox, I can invent a dewrinkler in my secret room!

I guess I don't have to start up the old ridin' mower now. darn, just when I was getting good at wheelies!

We're getting the coolest 'shrooms too. Giant cone-shaped ones.
I'm watching 3 weddings and a funeral between jabs in the funniest fight over on the Europe forum.

Just finished dinner. Slept later than I wanted to this morning. My SO brought me breakfast in bed so a great start to the day. He left to get his bets in at the Peppermill before the games started..mine too..and then went over to our rental house to do some work. I read the paper, did two loads of wash and had other ambitions, but spent time on the computer on pagesjeune checking out my neighborhood in Paris. Also checking on the Louvre, d'Orsay, and l'Orangerie, hours, prices, closings etc. Getting ready for my Nov. trip with my girl friend.

E-mailed my older SIL a bon voyage..they are off to Africa on Thursday and then answered an e-mail from my girl friend who just left London and boarded a boat to cruise for 18 days. I think they hit the Netherlands tomorrow.

My days are certainly wild and crazy. LOL Hope everyone has a good week.

Just watched CBS' 9-11. What horror it re-awakened. Worst yet is that the edge had begun to wear off and we can't ever let that happen! I'm left with the same frustrating sense of urgency I had then..."we've got to get 'em", but there's no "'em" to get. Who and where?

I see the hunting thread is gone and assume that's what you meant, Starrs, that it had gone south. Sorry to hear that...thought it was being handled well, but as I sat watching 9-11 I couldn't help but think of that thread and wonder what the H difference it makes anyway in this world!! Let there be peace!

My cable and internet's been down all night until now - must have been the earthquake. No, just teasing. It's so rare that I can't help using it as an excuse for everything today. LoL It's just weird after all the other natural disasters to now have an earthquake measuring 6.0 that near.

DH watched his tape of last night's LSU game. They beat Arizona. He had to work and missed the game, so I taped it for him. I read some - going to bed shortly. Gotta get up early to get ready for the trip. (I love saying that - ya know what I mean?!) We leave Friday!!!! May have some snow Saturday. So excited. Hope the elk are getting ready for a week of bugling!

Have a great Monday everyone!

God bless all our firemen, policemen, and military! And God bless America!

No, OO, I was referring to a thread on the Europe board. I just noticed that the hunting thread had been pulled. I agree - the discussion remained civil. Maybe something happened at the end I am not aware of. Oh, well.

Starr~ sometimes, ignorance is bliss. When I notice something has vanished, it's more fun imagining what "the end" was like.. I have been disappointed knowing the real dope,lol..

*probably something about cows got someone riled up.. speaking of burger, I had some buffalo steak tonight, quite tasty and I didn't need to use the marshmallow bait this time.

Yeah, I've had too much of that type of diet, girls, now my torso looks like the fat marshmellow from the s'mores, crammed into my jeans! ;-)

I blame it on the Fodors wino-s, always pressuring me to try new ones.

Yeah, you heard me, and pushing your fattening recipes and breads and dips and sour cream chips..chocolate festivals, ice cream, donut shops, burgers, buffets.. sweet cheeses people, what's next?

Where can I buy the sweetest bubble gum?
