Where for one night stop between Denali & Seward?
 

We're( 2 60ish women) heading out of Denali to Seward and are looking for a one night stop between, that will have something interesting to do. Hiking or sights to see. We will be spending time in Anchorage after Seward before our trip home so need something elsewhere. Any recommendations?

Girdwood at the Alyeska hotel? Great place, lots to see and do.

I'd suggest Girdwood or maybe the Palmer/Wasilla area.

Alyeska, beauriful spot to stay overnight.

If you stayed in Wasilla/Palmer area, you could visit Independence Mine area. Well done reconstruction of mining town plus hiking.

Thanks for the replies, I'll check those areas out. We're budget travelers so the lovely Aleska is out of our range. Looks beautiful but also requires 2 nights on a weekend.

Between Denali and Seward we stayed in Palmer at the Alaska's Garden Gate B & B. It was very nice. We enjoyed visiting Independence Mine and the Musk Ox Farm while staying in Palmer.
