Where do you like to stay on Maui?
Want to go there for a few days around fourth of July this summer with two teens; OD is 18 and YS is 13. They have not been to HI before. We are thinking about a few days on Oahu (HHV?) and then four nights ?) on Maui. We think we want a resort for the pool and activities and more kids around to hook up with. Are there any cool condos with cool pools? They would probably be happier in Kaanipali.
Can't stay at the Fairmont or Grand Wailea for $600. Wow, even the Hyatt is up to $500 a day now. It is outrageous.
So the question is, is there a place fun for teens, nice beach and activities, other older kids, nice location, golf nearby, in or very near Kaanipali that is not a dump and not $500 a day? I would appreciate any input on this.

heavens,
You are getting some great responses to these questions on your thread titled "Is it too late to book a week in Hawaii for the summer?" Like I responded there, try Maui Kai and Papakea for Kaanapali.

We after much research, we made reservations at HHV on Oahu and Maui Kai & Mana Kai on Maui. That will give us a taste of both worlds! We'll be there in July as well...Maybe we'll see you! Look for a couple of old farts in a red convertible! Belle.
