Where do I find a cross-country buddy?

I want to drive cross country - but don't have a car! Can anyone recommend an organization, or website where a twenty-something professional can find the same in a roadtrip buddy- preferably one with a car?

check out www.lonelyplanet.com. There might be something there for you.
Good luck!!

Thanks Carla. I just found lonely planet and posted a few announcements. Unfortunately, I didn't find anyone with my plans. I did find someone, however, also wondering if there were any ride-share websites. It seems like it's a need to be filled.
Any more ideas?

www.frommers.com has a Travel section devoted to "Special Travelers". Thought I saw one about people looking for people type thing.

Check out www.autodriveaway.com. You can drive someone else's car to Colorado.

I am driving from Riverside CA, to Manchester, NH,,,,,,travel dates are: Leaving Riverside CA on Dec 3rd, to Dec 10th,2011 stopping at Grand Canyon, then on to Manchester NH. I have one seat available, in a 1982 Datsun 4WD Kingcab pickup truck. A driving companion would be nice. Non-smokers only. Contact me at [email protected], Thanks.

One place to look if you are flexible is at a college near you. There are often kids looking for an inexpensive way to get to/from home and willing to share a ride.
