Where can I store 2 bags in NYC for a 5 hour period?

I'll be arriving at 34th and 8th by bus from Boston. I have to go to Queens on an errand. I do not want to schlep our bags there, as we must then return to the bus station area.
Is there any place we can pay to store our bags temporarily near the bus station.

Many thanks
B

Schwartz Luggage Storage Sevices, on 36th between 8th and 9th, might be good...

Um 34th and 8th would be Penn Station - for trains. The Port Authority (bus) terminal is at 42 st. Unless you're talking about buses that just stop on a street corner.

The Boston to NY Megabus stops at 31st and 8th Avenue.

"<i>we must then return to the bus station <u>area</u>.</i>"

Since you say bus station 'area', does that mean you are staying near the bus station - or - are you catching another bus out of NYC?

If you are staying there, you can most likely leave your bags at the hotel.

Thank you for the reply. We have hotel reservations in the upper west side area. That' why we think it best to leave our bags and then return for them to go to our hotel.

Depending on where you're going in Queens - and how - subway or LIRR - it might be easier to drop your bags first at the hotel - rather than to make the extra trek from and back to 34th St..

Most hotels will hold your bags for you if you arrive early. That sounds like the best bet.

As others point out, there is no "bus station area" near where you're going. Those buses just drop off on the street but it is near Penn station. As someone else said, Schwartztravel.com has a location not far from Penn station. You don't make clear what you have to do in that area again or what time you'll be doing it. Bringing your bags to your hotel before you do your errand sounds like a better option but you may not agree.
