Where can I drive to on a budget and still have a great vacation?

My husband and I are looking for a destination in reasonable ( we don't really want to drive too long if we can help it) driving range from where we live (about an hour east of Oklahoma City). We want to go out of state, but I'm not a big fan of flying. We're on a budget (about $1500). We managed to go to Orlando, Fl (flying) for a little over $1500 for our honeymoon, so we're pretty good at finding deals, just need a good location. Let me know if any of yall have any ideas! Thanks!

Just head to the nearest Indian Casino and put all 1500 on black, or red.

Jessie, if Aislinn puts all $1,500 on black or red, what does she get if it hits?

(I know nothing about roulette.)

How about Dallas? If you read some opinions on this board it is heaven on Earth!

The time we'd probably go would be fall or winter (either November or February).

We've looked at the South Padre Island area in Texas. I'd love to go to Eureka Springs, but I'm not sure if there's enough to do there.

But, I'm thinking that's a negative on the Indian Casino Thanks for the suggestion though *l*

and probably not Dallas. We've both been there several times, although Dallas is really nice

thanks for the suggestions....keep 'em coming

Have you tried actually looking at a map? All the suggestions you were given you've shot down.

Go to St. Louis and see the National Bowling Hall of Fame. Should be perfect for anyone from the Sooner State.

Look in your local Sunday paper's travel section, go to the library, get a map and peruse it,ask friends and coworkers for recommendations. You obviously don't like our suggestions.
