Where and when ?

My husband and I are thinking of taking our 8yr old daughter to Florida next yr.
Is it particularly busy last week of May, first week of June?
We went to Disneyland Paris in June and it was not that busy but the queues were still long which is difficult for a young child.
We also want a week on the beach but unsure of where to go St. Petes, Sanibel, Naples - where has the most action for am 8yr old?
Whilst I love the beach, hubby also likes to have something else to do............
Any recommendations of hotels, places to stay, best resort etc. would be really appreciated as I am always left to make the decisions of where to go......thanx for your time - Anna x

hey there, you may have already thought to do so, but many would recommend putting a little more info in title of your post (i.e., "Disneyland Paris: where and when?" or "FL: where and when?") and by doing so you might attract more help :)

What else does husband like to do?

Dtr might like Busch Gardens (Tampa area). Beaches are nice, some sightseeing in area, and you could send your husband to some baseball games if that is his thing.

Hello
you shouldn't be worried about standing in lines in disneyworld, even during high season, their system is worked out so well that you won't find yourself waiting more then 10 minutes..for somone who isn't a beach fan, why don't you try the dreamy St. Augustine? its beautiful just to walk around the historical area. if you need more ideas of what to do in florida try tripcart.com they have a whole section about Florida
have a great time

Hello Annaellieb!

Our family vacations on Sanibel every year during that time and have never had a problem with crowds.

Sanibel is VERY laid back and IMO, the St. Pete area will offer more activities for your 8 yr. old daughter with theme and waterparks nearby.

However, if your daughter loves nature, bike rides, boat rides and the beach, then you should consider Sanibel.

We have always stayed at Sea Shells of Sanibel - www.seashellsofsanibel.com

FYI, June tends to be a wet month (not from hurricanes, just afternoon thunderstorms) but if you stick to that particular week, you should be fine.

Hope that helps!
