WHEN is next vacation?

June 28 - July 16, 2003.

(other than single days off here & there spread out over the winter to use them up --- without going anywhere).

Broke Oct 10th, 2002 04:46 PM

Dam@%! Are people on this board PAID!!!
All these extravagant vacations back to back. There's no WAY in heck I can afford those kind of vacations. There must be some millionaires on this board. I'm not one of them. I can afford to travel once a year. (Big vacation)... There's no way I can go to Hawaii in January, Vegas in March, Disneyworld in May, Cruise in July. I'd be broke!!!! What am I missing. Plz share your financial secrets?

inresponse Oct 10th, 2002 04:58 PM

Secrets?? Ever heard of charge cards? Charge now, avoid the bill collectors later. Don't envy them - it is not the way to live. It is called living above ones means!

Thanksgiving week in London

Estelle Oct 11th, 2002 10:29 AM

I pay for my trips ahead of time. The big ones I book a year out and pay for until I leave. The other ones are a combination of frequent flyer miles and hotel points and pay as I go. I don't go into debt to vacation.

Tim Oct 11th, 2002 10:47 AM

When they impeach the Shrub for trampling on the Bill of Rights I'll celebrate and go to Disneyland.

huh Oct 11th, 2002 11:45 AM

Can you give us some examples on how Shrub is doing this and where in Disneyland you'll be staying? Is he doing things like Ruby Ridge or Waco?

NotTim Oct 11th, 2002 12:09 PM

Tim, hopefully we'll all be there in Mickey's happy land to push YOU in front of the monorail. Keep your politics to yourself and the world will be a much happier place.

Not paid? Oct 11th, 2002 05:45 PM

I must agree. There are some people with MONEY who can travel across the globe to Europe, Hawaii, Mexico, Caribbean all in a year! I'll admit, I'm jealous. I can only do 1 major trip and maybe squezze a couple of weekend trips up north per year. Heck Vegas is a major vacation for me even. I don't want to go into debt for a vacation.

beth Oct 11th, 2002 06:44 PM

13 days over Chritmas and New Year's in Australia

Sarah Oct 13th, 2002 01:10 PM

We have a few vacations lined up. We have no kids so we have the FREEDOM to go as we please... Yahoo!!
We are heading to Orlando for New Years Eve.
March- 7 day cruise to the Western Caribbean
August- Maui Hawaii!! (looking so forward to this trip)...
and still deciding for the fall. Maybe Aruba or Grand Caymens? (who knows)...

off shore Oct 13th, 2002 02:24 PM

Somehow, Shrub's friends manage to stay well off and safely ahead of any federal indictments, while everyone else's 401k's are tanking. Now they just want everyone to invest in defense stocks. As if that will do anything for health care and education.

The idea that politics is separate from your vacation planning is ridiculous.

While I too care about our Bill of Rights, most Americans are feeling the pain where it hurts the most.

BTW, the Shrub daughters are off vacationing in St. Tropez. Off-shore has worked great for Shrub-cronies and their investment accounts.
