An update for general information. Just as predicted by those regular visitors to the canyon, as we near the date an occasional additional room has come available. Now we could have chosen between a bathroomless cheaper room ($69) at Bright Angel, and one of the expensive ones ($180) at Kachina Lodge.

We are still calling and hoping one with a bathroom will come up at B.A. but if it doesn't, we are so glad they will be in the park for $90!
