If you're asking about the tree in NYC at Rockefeller Center, it will be lit the night of November 30th.

But, the reason you received such an array of non-helpful answers is that you neglected to actually say in the heading or the body of your message, WHAT city you were asking about. Always an important detail!

I must disagree with Liz’s characterization of the responses being non-helpful. I thought they were helpful for various places around the US. Since the OP didn’t specify we did the best we could. ;)

ok, maybe mine was not helpful, unless chimmicat was in fact looking for a date to take to a tree lighting ceremony.

I think yours was a good idea. The complete sentence read "Looking for a date." Makes sense to me.
