When is Spring Break on Oregon and CA coasts?
 

We're doing a road trip from Oregon to San Fran, taking Hwy 101. We'll be travelling the week of April 15-19th. We were wondering when spring break is on the Oregon and CA coast, so we know whether we need to book our hotel rooms in advance. <BR><BR>Thanx a mint in advance to any mom's or dad's out there who know!

I believe it depends on the school district, but I happen to know 4 families from various areas of CA whose school breaks are different weeks between March 18th through Arpil 12th. I don't know of anyone with a spring break at the time you'll be visiting. I think you'll just miss it (though I could be mistaken since my kids are still too young for school).

Spring break for the college kids are from march 24 for 2 weeks?, for the rest most seem to be on vacation from March 31 to April 7.

Oregon schools are the last two weeks of March so they all should be wrapping up this weekend.

This is a great board for info! <BR><BR>If it was just my brother and I, I wouldn't be concerned, but we're making the trip cuz our elderly parents want to go. I checked the hotel rates for our travel week and rates seem to be low, but I just wanted to double check we wouldn't run into swarms of families. Looks like we'll be fine for our dates. <BR><BR>We haven't locked in cuz we don't know how far we will get each day (depends on our parents' stamina!). <BR><BR>Thanx a mint everyone!

Los Angeles school district is on Spring Break right now. The kids go back on Monday, after Easter Sunday.

My nieces both have their spring breaks next week from Southern California schools.

Our district, in the southern part of the SF Bay area is on spring break April 15 thru 19. It varies from district to district around here.
