When is high season in Tucson?

We're going to Tanque Verde in mid April, and I want to spend another night in a resort that I plan on getting through Priceline. I'll keep trying right up until a week before we leave, but I'm bidding rates that I've seen accepted and haven't gotten anything yet.

Just curious, is that time of year high season in Tucson?

Also, this is for April 19th, not easter week.

January - April is pretty much the high season in this area, as folks from snow-bound regions head here to play golf and enjoy the outdoors in sunny 70 F weather.

Rates start to lower after May 1

Thanks. I'll keep plugging away at PL since I need two rooms.
