When Georgia Islands?

Previous message that we are planning a trip to Goergia islands. One response warned of heat and humidity, which we all hate. When would be the best time to go? Late Sept? Oct? Thanks.

The humidity should be gone by October.

Heat and humidity can be a major factor from late May through early (or later) October. Obviously, it is less severe in late May and early October. And not to be a further wet blanket, but there's also the Hurricane Season to deal with. But that is such an unknown, I wouldn't be overly concerned about it.

And don't forget, if you're staying on the water, you'll have the ocean breeze to take some of the sting out of the heat.

We just got back from Cumberland Island two weeks ago and the mosquitos where horrible! I would think the fall would be the best time to go.
