Usually there are several patron saints for a specific cause, and several causes per saint. In this case, I think we should pick St. Erasmus, who in addition to storms is the patron saint of (or against, I guess):

"boatmen, danger at sea, intestinal disorders, mariners, navigators, sailors, seasickness, stomach diseases, storms, watermen, and women in labour".

I guess there's a comon thread there someplace. Before being caught and martyred in 303, Erasmus hid out for a while and was fed by a raven.
