When did you first register and how many threads have you posted on?

I thought I would check and was pretty surprised to see that I have been a Fodorite since 02/18/2003 and have posted on 1258 threads... and I read more than I post!
I best some of you are on 10,000 threads!!!
What's your stats?
Laura :)

Just checked and have posted on 1,574 threads since 2/28/03. My first post was asking about a 1 night stay on Honolulu.

1617 posts since June 04. I started posting on fodors under another name for about six months before that so add another 200 or so onto that.

I've only had 732 posts since registration began in 2003 but have been a Fodor's regular since 1998.

luvtravl Jan 23rd, 2007 05:37 PM

On board since 2/26/05 and posted on 241 threads but like iceeu2 - have read many, many more. I love this forum!!!

The Middle Ages when we posted by candlelight and had to keep moving to avoid rapers and pillagers.
I have 70 million posts.

sistahlou Jan 23rd, 2007 06:19 PM

It is all true what Scarlett has written.

How truly difficult it was for her to show up here, back in the day wearing red, with a pup and a yankee in tow. She was ostrisized until ostriches were claimed a free roaming bird. Yet still trolls roaming the land did their best to oust her.

That Scarlett, she is one hellova survivor!

Oh, I think I pnly had about 68 million posts before the fodors police killed elvira.....

How do you find this info? I've been here since late 1997 when I stumbled on the site while researching a spring 1998 trip to Italy. Have no idea how to find the number of posts though. Would someone please explain? Thanks!

luvtravl Jan 23rd, 2007 06:39 PM

Hi Betsy! You can click on your screen name and see your history. Just scroll to the end to see how many threads you have posted on and the date of the very first one.

Betsy Jan 23rd, 2007 06:43 PM

Thanks luv. How long do you think it would take to search back through 10 years of almost daily posts 50 at a time! Just don't think I have the attention span for it. Any shortcuts?

:-)

What prize did you receive when you registered?

CAPH52 Jan 23rd, 2007 09:01 PM

I'm guessing our totals don't include deleted threads on which we've posted!;):D

I'm sure there is an easier way, but click on your screen name and when it appears in the lefthand column, right click on your name and click open in a new window. This will make a narrow column appear in the center. At the top, you will see the thread has your name and the number 0 at the end. Change to zero to a random number of posts you think you might have. Try 1000 or 1500. It might take several tries, changing the end number and hitting enter, but is much faster than clicking back every 50 posts. Only took me a minute to come up with 1350 posts for you dating back to 3/22/2000 with your first post on the Latin America board. This only shows the number of threads you have responded to, not the number of posts.

I think Rex knows a simpler way so maybe he will respond.

Click on your own screen name. When it appears in the left-hand column, right click it and click open in a new window. This thread list will be in the center of your screen. Change the number at the end of the url from 0 to how many posts you think you might have(5000 or whatever might be a close guess) and hit enter. You might have to try this a couple of times, but it beats trying to scroll forever if you have been around for years.

TxTravelPro and iceeu2 - 2/03 was when registration started. Did you have other names before registration?

kybourbon Jan 23rd, 2007 09:33 PM

I guess Starrs was posting the same time I was.

Giovanna Jan 23rd, 2007 09:36 PM

Just over 1200 since 3/22/00, but I was around before registration and I think some of the posts then were lost when registraton was started.

Barbara Jan 23rd, 2007 09:57 PM

It only went back to 1/28/2003 which was the first day of registration. 1522 posts since then and I got a Fodor pin when I registered. I've been posting since mid-2000 with the same name.

iceeu2 Jan 24th, 2007 03:52 AM

kybourbon, I did not post prior to registering with Fodors.

girlonthego Jan 24th, 2007 04:10 AM
