There are many festivals that happen in Scranton, but "The Book Festival" is the one that I like most. It happens somewhere in October where you will see the celebration of various books at one place. This is great, I love it.

Basque Picnic in Los Banos, CA. Great food, traditional dancing. Third Saturday on May.
I also like to go to the traditional Portuguese Festas throughout the summer for the traditional foods. |
I love the Dragoncon parade in Atlanta. Where else can you see hundreds of storm troopers march down the road to bagpipes?

The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage festival in late April early May. Great music, food and crowd. Love it!

Provincetown, MA is celebrating their 35th Carnival this summer. The theme is Viva Las Vegas.

Lookin-Glass has it right - carnival in Ptown is lots of fun.... a crazy little parade down a random 300 year old street filled with people just enjoying life...what more could you hope for!

Bon Odori festival in Seattle in the summer, it has religious roots (honoring your ancestors) besides great dancing and drumming in the streets, plus food booths, a beer garden, great BBQ! |
