NINA! I was on those vacations with you, I'll bet! You named all of the prez club trips I got to tag along on with my husband. Sounds like you were out of xerox for Baccarra last year. We are out of the Big X, also, this year. Looking forward to some
freebie trips on the new company's dime!!!

Abby, That's right! We've been out for awhile. I still have all the President's club beach bags, towels, visors, etc, etc, (And show the folks what their parting gifts will be...)

What's the new company, and are they still spending money like that?

While living in Panama we took two vacations bevause of friends.

1. Friends went back to the states for the Christmas holidays and we house sat for them, their place was on the beach and hot a hottub Another trip was made into Boquete where we stayedwith friends we had made and visisted some amazing places while there. The most we paid for one meal for four was a little over $8.00 and as the villiagers got to know us the price went down day by day. Total cost trip for four days, all entertainment, many gifts for family and food was less than 50.00.

47 Day Bicycle Trip LA-Boston in AAA motels with breakfast, dinner, and full mechanical/sag support: $2000. 83 miles per day average.

Actually, all participants had to raise $5000, but I put up $2k personally so no other donor could claim they were paying for MY vacation.

$500 (US funds) - March 29 through April 14, 2002. Driving trip by myself. Ontario Canada to Carlsbad Caverns NM, Guadalupe Mountains, & just about "all" of Texas including Big Bend Nat'l Park, Baton Rouge/New Orleans area, & up I-75 through Kentucky back to Ontario. That includes everything including two guided tours at Carlsbad, guided tour at Ruby Falls Chattanooga, Mississippi riverboat ride, Swamp tour southwest of New Orleans, plantation tour, etc. GREAT TRIP - GREAT COUNTRY!

That's just one of many great but inexpensive trips. Can't remember if it was the cheapest off hand. Would have to look back through my records & photo albums. Makes a big difference when you are by yourself or just two people & can sleep in the car!

Nina, I still have my collection of bags, too. Xerox is definitely cutting back on the spending, trips are staying in the states. The new company is GTSI.

You won't believe the prices that they charge at this "resort", and guess what, those rates that you see INCLUDE MEALS!

This is a bare bones hotel complex, you bring your own soap, shampoo etc, and you carry your own bags. You make your own bed too! But, it's a godsend for anyone in New England who can't afford a luxury getaway. A nice, relaxing weekend, with golf onsite and a lakeside recreation park down the road.
