What's the best spa in Vegas?
Traveling to Vegas very soon and looking for the best spa ... doesn't have to be the most expensive, just want good service and lots of choices for services. Any ideas? Your input is GREATLY appreciated! Thanks.

I've been to the Madera spa at Paris and love it. My good friend swears by the spa at Mandalay Bay, but I can't personally vouch for it. But she knows her spas..

have fun!
snarla
Let me add: The spa at the Monte Carlo is nice too, but it's small.
I enjoyed the Bellagio but I think you have to stay there to use it.
Does anyone know anything about the Green Valley Ranch Spa in Henderson? I've heard great and horrible -- any thoughts? Thanks to all of you for your replies and info!
The spa at Mandalay Bay was great. I liked the Roman style steam baths. Slippers and robes waiting for you when you got out. Great fitness accomodations too!
Definitely the Bellagio- and I do not think you have to stay there-
try the lava rock massage
I'm no spa expert but I thought the one at Mandalay Bay was excellent.
One of the hotels has a Canyon Ranch, I can't remember which. Never tried it, but it's a superb spa with locations in Colorado & Lenox, MA.
I've visited Canyon Ranch at The Venetian, Madera at Paris and Caesar's Palace spa. They are all top notch -- you really can't go wrong. I think it all depends on where you stay since it's great to roll out of bed and head down to the spa without having to leave the building.

I'm interested in checking out the Green Valley Spa with a girlfriend, leaving the husbands home. Is this a good place for 2 gals to go for a long weekend? Also what is the best time to go to NV when it's not too hot? March maybe?

Yes, the Canyon Ranch Spa at the Venetian was excellent! My sister and I, spent the day there and had a massage and mineral detox rub,,,how wonderful...the tip was already included which I iked a lot.
Yes, I experienced the "tip inclusive" thing at Canyon Ranch spa at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando. BUT - the aesthetician was very appreciative of an extra tip, and envelopes were out by the check-out for that purpose. I asked the cashier what the included tip amount was, but she had no idea. I hated that! What if the included "tip" is only 10-15%, and your aesthetician was wonderful? Or if the tip is already at 20-25%, why are tipping envelopes out? Don't want to turn this into a tipping thread, but I find it very annoying, and a reason to NOT go back to a Canyon Ranch spa.
(Gaylord Palms room service also included a tip of 18%, which is not so unusual, but then, there was a line on the charge slip for "Additional gratuity for exceptional service." What's with that?!) I think the spa at Mandalay Bay with the Roman style steam baths sounds lovely. Sorry I can't speak from personal experience at LV spas! |
This is an old post but I wanted to comment on the wonderful spa at the JW Marriott resort in Sumerlin, 20 min. from the strip/airport/downtown. Rated one of the best spas in the country, and my spousal unit, who used some of the facilities last Christmas, raves to this day about it. Plus, the JWM is gorgeous, the casino is a low-key "locals" place, there's a 24h Starbucks in the building, and the rooms and bathrooms in the hotel were the biggest we've ever had at a hotel anywhere. Red Rocks St. Park is close by, and we didn't miss the glitz one iota. Highly recommended. Check it out.

I tried the spas at the Mandalay and the Venetian, and I thought the Venetian was better. The staff at the Mandalay seemed a little snooty, whereas the Venetian staff were much more service-oriented and focused on taking care of you and making sure you were maximizing your time there. We took advantage of the beauty packages, fitness center, nutrition lectures, fitness classes, and the whirlpool. The Venetian locker room also offers more than the Mandalay.
The only thing I didnt like was the Canyon Ranch Cafe--the staff was pretty incompetent and openly horsed around in front of customers. |
I know it is an old post but I too am wondering for a trip in the near future
ttt. What's the best spa 2005???
My girlfriend has been to quite a few in LV and she says the Venetian is the best in her opinion. (I haven't been there myself)
BATHHOUSE at theHOTEL ranks high on our list. Flawless service. Nice facilities. Not a cattle ranch.

Just returned from the Bellgio. I spent every morning at the spa getting different treatments. All I can say is WOW. It is the new spa that just opened after a re-do. It is wonderful! Every time I go to vegas this is my new plan: Light breakfast, spa at 9:30 for 10 am treatment, out by 12 and ready to go. The facilities and ammenities are wonderful.
