We are going from our home in San Francisco to Hawaii. With the dollar being so low against the euro, will the Hawaiian dollar be more exensive for us too?

Why do you guys continue to recommend this hotel? It is clean with excellent service. I am not used to these things when traveling and I refuse to put up with this any longer.

Have you ever broken a Fodors.com posting rule? Gekko hasn't!!!

How did Jonbenet's alleged killer get upgraded to first class? Did he use FF miles or is this a government perk with MY tax $$$$?

After joining the 'Mile High Club" do you have to update your membership each year and does it have to be with your original partner?

I hadn't realized that that was a big red knee at the bottom of the screen. I rarely if ever pay attention to the ads. I thought it was a pylone or a road cone or something like that, or a lava lamp.

Now my question is - what obscenities did that poor person scream out when they realized how badly sunburned their left leg was, and that their cruise was ruined and that they could hardly walk or wear long pants??

Also how long would it take for the color to match their other leg?

LOL Nina, at first I didn't have a clue what you were talking about..but than I scrolled down to the bottom of the screen. That left sunburned leg and knee is miserable looking for sure!

Nina66~ well, the TA prevents liquids on board, and it's my understanding that only science teachers can have organisms(with signed permission slips from their doctor).
Updated memberships are acceptable.. mostly a "hands on" application when the nuts are dispensed.
Most of the current airline partnerships are done after beverage purchase and with very little forethought.

I should have know this thread would be the playground of the "usual suspects".

What is it about the terms of service that are SO hard to understand? Why do so many of you confuse this with a support group or with family? MikeT correctly diagnosed the problem in another "closed" thread.

Sorry, rb, those questions have already been asked on Fodor's, but good try. :)

Does Tom Cruise know?

I need the perfect restaurant on the West coast near the ocean to gently announce a divorce to my husband.
His "use by" date has recently expired and I want to make sure his f.f. miles are split fairly in our settlement.
What would be a good wine choice for this event?

starrsville Aug 28th, 2006 08:02 AM

Where is Budman when you need him?

angethereader Aug 28th, 2006 08:02 AM

Are we there yet?

(I don't mind not quite travel questions, but I HATE when people get political - whether I agree or disagree)

When is the next hall monitor election?

jetset1 Aug 28th, 2006 08:21 AM

((Y))Starrsville for President((Y))

First class travel for everyone:)

Why do the self-appointed Fodor's police (and you know who you are) read obviously non-travel related posts and then complain that they are not travel related?

jetset1 Aug 28th, 2006 08:29 AM

Is mama in Alaska yet? I am going to look for her at the state fair. Dang, I never found out what kind of hat she'sd have on for i.d. purposes.

No matter, I'll just cram my big Denali cream puff in my cheeks and bellow "mama, where arrrreeee yooouuu?"

kopp Aug 28th, 2006 08:40 AM

Oh, this is soooo travel-related, and I know it's never been asked:

How does a Denali cream puff differ from a French cream puff?

Nina66 Aug 28th, 2006 09:04 AM

jetset1, you are soooooo bad - can I be your seatmate on your next flight? We can disrupt and crack up all of the other passengers.

This is a straight request as I don't need to renew my Mile High (in my travel dreams) Membership yet.

As a forethougt, I'm not playing around here, you are nuts, ( I admire that in person) and no liquids will be required.

rb - I never break rules, I just totally disregard them.

Nina

Is Gekko permitted in coach or just checked baggage?

GoTravel Aug 28th, 2006 09:26 AM

For the hall monitors (rb & Gekko you know who you are) to complain is the exact same offense as us being off topic.

missypie Aug 28th, 2006 09:32 AM

I'm a very small person. How can I volunteer to sit next to the person who needs to raise both arm rests to fit into his seat on the plane?

iceeu2 Aug 28th, 2006 10:36 AM

I know, I know, I know!

Has Poleeceman Gekko EVER said anything nice?
