what would you NOT do again???

is there something you wished you skipped or that you would have done differently??

SAnParis Jul 21st, 2006 07:39 AM

Um, no...you start doing that & you have the possiblity of changing who you are, who you are with, & where you are in life. I'll just happily keep things "as is".

Lily Jul 21st, 2006 07:40 AM

I wish I had skipped to work this morning but I walked instead.

JAGIRL Jul 21st, 2006 07:42 AM

SAn,
I agree with that except that I really wish I could re write the past five years of my life. :))

Would write that DEH (damn ex- H) of mine right out of the script! :))

starrsville Jul 21st, 2006 07:48 AM

I wished that I had NOT responded to a couple of posters on this board. Offer help - get bashed instead.

SAnParis Jul 21st, 2006 07:49 AM

JAGIRL - But you must think of all the consequences that would follow that decision. Had I not been married to my first ex, I'd not now be married to my current wife & have my two beautiful kids. I'd have been married to someone else (maybe) & be who knows where. I'll keep my past & present just as they are, thanks very much.

SAnParis Jul 21st, 2006 07:49 AM

I'm waxing a bit philosophic today I guess...

GoTravel Jul 21st, 2006 07:55 AM

Yes, I got accepted to study at Manchester College at Oxford University between my junior and senior year of college and blew off the whole deal.

I was more interested in spending my summer waiting tables at the beach chasing some boy.

My parents were livid. Looking back, as they should have been.

Kal Jul 21st, 2006 07:59 AM

I would never be a Klique who would have me as a member.:))

jbass Jul 21st, 2006 08:24 AM

I wished I would've studied harder in high school and college so that I wouldn't be sitting in front of a computer today reading and posting to Fodors. I also wished I had skipped to work today or skipped work. ;;)

Pappy Jul 21st, 2006 09:34 AM

Let's see...that bottle of Viper Rum (with an actual dead snake in it) in Belize...the hooker in Costa Rica...accepting the dare to walk home alone at night from that roadside bar in Jamaica...so many regrets.

suze Jul 21st, 2006 11:30 AM

I wish I had stuck with it and learned Spanish as a child. So much harder now.

aliwnec10 Jul 21st, 2006 11:42 AM

i actually meant what would you not do in hawaii? what would you skip if you went back? Not in life.

Tiff Jul 21st, 2006 11:43 AM

Take any trip traveling with more than I can carry on my own.

You never know when you might decide to make your 'party of two' a very quick 'party of one'.

There's a story there, but I'd have to ply you with multiple martinis first...

starrsville Jul 21st, 2006 11:44 AM

How would we know that?

GoTravel Jul 21st, 2006 11:45 AM

Spill the beans Tiff!

Tiff Jul 21st, 2006 11:48 AM

Hawaii or elsewhere, it's safe to say my post still applies...

Alinec, darlin, you gotta be careful how you word your questions, LOL, we are one 'deep thinking' bunch.

With apparently more than one regret...

CAPH52 Jul 21st, 2006 11:49 AM

"i actually meant what would you not do in hawaii? what would you skip if you went back? Not in life."

"How would we know that?"

There's absolutely nothing in either your title or your post to indicate that you're talking about Hawaii.

Tiff Jul 21st, 2006 11:51 AM

And let it be said, I feel I am the better now knowing that one should avoid any drink with a dead snake in it while in Belize.

LOL, Pappy, that was a great post.

GoT ~ The next GTG, dear one, the next GTG...

OneWanderingJew Jul 21st, 2006 12:04 PM

If you even think you're going to get out of this one Miss Tiff, you are sadly mistaken. Start tawkin sistah!

cmcfong Jul 21st, 2006 12:14 PM

What I meant to say was....Yeah, Tiff, start talking. OWJ and I swear we won't repeat a bit of it......

Tiff Jul 21st, 2006 12:15 PM

:-"

(Seriously, it would appear that any of my stories would pale in comparison to ole Pappy up there. I think we need to get him talking!)

((D)) for all - and then let's ask alinec's question again! That's some Friday Fun!

Neopolitan Jul 21st, 2006 12:24 PM

Hawaii? I thought all posts that asked questions but never gave a hint about where they were talking about were automatically assumed to be New York -- the "center of the universe" -- has that "rule" changed?

Malesherbes Jul 21st, 2006 12:30 PM

My guess is that aliwnec10 posted this question on the "Hawaii board"...or so she thought. She's not a frequent poster so may not know all posts are dumped into the "general" category.

iceeu2 Jul 21st, 2006 12:41 PM

((D))((D))...Here's a couple to get you going, Tiff! ((D))((D))...and a couple for your OWJ sistah....((D))((D)) and a couple for GoTravel, cause she can't wait until the next GTG....((D))((D)) and a couple for cmcfong cause she ain't breathing a word...((D)) ((D)) and a couple for me cause I just love a good girls night out drinking party.

((D))((D))((D))((D))((D))((D))

Tiff Jul 21st, 2006 01:04 PM

LOL, iceeeU2, too funny.
This might be one of those after the show moments - stay tuned to the Oxygen channel for details.

Neopolitan ~ lol, hugs to you.

suze Jul 21st, 2006 01:23 PM

in Hawaii????????? sheez.

i can't think of anything i would have skipped or done differently in three trips so far. did you have something particular in mind you're wondering about?

starrsville Jul 21st, 2006 01:38 PM

Well, I'm glad I "did" Maui, but I have no desire to go back. The other islands, yes.

noryglory Jul 21st, 2006 04:25 PM

Ha. To stay on the poster's completely obtuse and hard-to-understand but still interesting topic....I would NOT go to Hawaii with my parents again! I would NOT go to the top Haleakala when there is cloud cover. I would NOT go to the luau at the Sheraton. I would NOT go look at the Io Needle. I would NOT stay in a condo without air conditioning in August. Most importantly, I would NOT worry about how fat I look in a bathing suit--Lord knows people worse off than me sure don't care.

That's just for starters. I'm sure I could think of 100 other things.

vegasnative Jul 21st, 2006 04:32 PM

I wish I had never got my tattoo!! Here that kids...DON'T GET TATTOOS!!!!!

vegasnative Jul 21st, 2006 04:35 PM

Ok...so I just read the replies and have learned this is what you would not do in Hawaii...:D, um okay, never been but DON'T GET TATTOOS while in Hawaii or Vegas or where ever you go!

bluefan Jul 21st, 2006 05:12 PM

I wish I had not eaten at Aureole in Las Vegas a few weeks ago. Spent a significant amount of money for bland food. Still aggrivated about it especially after the credit card bill came:)

mrwunrfl Jul 22nd, 2006 12:14 AM

I wish I hadn't posted to this thread.
