What would you do with 2 days in Sebastapol, CA area?

We will be visitng friends for two full days in the Sebastopol, CA area at the end of March. Thinking of visiting wine country in Napa and Sonoma valleys and going to Point Reyes another day. Other suggestions (not SF) would be appreciated.

You will need at least one day for Napa and another day for Sonoma. Then a third for Point Reyes. Do you have more days that you want to fill or do you just have three days?

Correct--you are close to the three major attractions easytraveler mentioned.

Healdsburg is a delightful town not far from Sebasopol, and the wine district surrounding Healdsburg is free of the Napa Valley crowds.

You could drive to Bodega Bay (where "The Birds" was shot) and up the coast a few miles returning via the Russian River.

Along the Russian River, the Korbel Champagne Cellars are near Guerneville, if you're interested in learning about champagne.

If you like art, in the Napa Valley check out the di Rosa Preserve (very interesting) and The Hess Collection Winery and Vineyards. We enjoyed them greatly as have friends we told about them.

You won't have a problem finding good things to do.

I vote for Muir Woods AND Muir Beach. Most people don't know about the beach. It's quite close to the woods -- and it's magical.

Perhaps an afternoon cruising the Sonoma coast.

Check out Safari West near Santa Rosa. People of all ages go there.

Cheese trail! http://www.marineconomicforum.org/im...or_web_crx.pdf But if you're in Sebastapol, you should definitely go to the Matos Cheese Factory. They make one kind of cheese and it's really good!

Thanks for all of the suggestions. Unfortunately we only have two full days--although we can pack a lot in! I appreciate the suggestions of routes and select vineyards. I didn't mean that I intended to spend one day in Napa and one day in Sonoma.

Yet another suggestion - Armstrong Woods. It's a lot closer to Sebastopol than is Muir Woods and it doesn't have the crowds like Muir Woods.

I really like breakfast and Howard's in Occidental.
