Kauai NaPali Coast Tours

Staying on North Shore early October. Interested in doing the NaPali Coast from this location. Would appreciate advice on tour operators, if anyone has done this. Thank you.

Hello! We stayed at a condo in the same area at the same time last year. We had hoped to see the gorgeous Napali coastline by boat, but the ocean was too rough. Instead, we booked a helicopter tour with Jack Harter Tours. We flew on the last day of our 2 weeks there, and it was the highlite of our trip. Doors off too! Breathtaking.

October is a transition month, when the ocean starts getting rougher so you may or may not be able to go depending on the boats. If not, there are plenty of good boat tours out of Port Allen, I have personally been on both Captain Andy and Holo Holo and both are good boats, good crews and good food. Captain Andy has a new boat, Southern Star, which is getting rave reviews and they have hot food instead of make your own sandwiches.

Just did a coast tour with Na Pali Sea Breeze and would recommend them. But as other folks point out, October weather could be iffy. You may be confirmed on a trip, but you'll need to call the day of to confirm that weather doesn't force a cancel. For that reason, you may want to plan for your trip earlier than later in your stay in the event you need to reschedule.

Port Allen is quite a drive from North Shore but Capt'n Andy's is a great trip just be sure to allow lots of time to get there and as I recall they leave pretty early.....
