What to visit in Charlotte?

What places are must see in Charlotte, NC?

When will you be traveling and what are some of your interests?

ditto to willowjane
BUT since you seem to have British ties, our Mint Museum has a world class ceramics collection, in addition to other exhibits.
Our Bechtler Museum is also a treasure of contemporary art.
How can we direct you?

Y'all forgot the NASCAR museum!

Don't forget the Billy Graham Library.

And really there are 4 museums in the downtown area plus the Mint out in the neighborhood of Eastover. And the Library IS a good rec.
There is also Latta Plantation, a 18th century site that is lovely.
The NASCAR Hall of Fame is really pretty much fun apparently--and there is Discovery Place, a Science Museum, in addition to the Mint, Bechtler, Harvey Gantt.
