What to see between Monterey and Hearst Castle
 

We will be in the Monterey area for a couple days in June. We are going to see the Monterey Aquarium and the Hearst Castle, but are wondering what else should we do??? We only have 2 full days in Monterey.

Go on the 17 mile drive to Pebble beach between Monterey and Carmel. Spend a little time wandering around Carmel. There is not too much south of Carmel to Hearst Castle other than beautiful scenery.

I've averaged almost 50,000 km of driving a year for over fifteen years, and I'll say the drive between Carmel and Hearst Castle on Hiway 1 is one of the most scenic in the country. Just be sure to watch the road while you're driving, it's treachurous if you don't pay attention!!
