what to pack.??

I know this is boring but what would one pack (female one) for a trip to San Diego next week? I always thought it was hot there but it seems not so much. Cool nights?? Must pack items? THank you, as always.

Definitely cool nights.

No, San Diego is usually not hot, they benefit from ocean breezes. For instance, the forecasted highs for the next few days are in the 70s. If you live in a location that's currently in the 90s, SD is going to feel quite crispy.

Common attire in SD is shorts with a sweatshirt thrown over when the weather cools down.

Light weight clothing with something warmer for the evenings.

Assuming you aren't at the beach all day, it can get warm even a few miles inland.

If you are planning to go to Temecula or something, then plan on some heat. But close to the ocean, it should be cool. In the summer for anywhere along the coast, I usually take capri pants, jeans, a skirt maybe, various tops, a light fleece, and a light jacket.

You've been a tremendous help to me. I would have packed most of the wrong things. Much thanks.

Hope you have a great trip :) And don't worry - lots of people come to the coast without the right clothing. It is understandable.
