What to do nearby Eastham, MA in March
I am 17 and I have a house in Eastham, MA. I decided to take me and 13 of my friends there for spring break which is the week of March 24th- March 28th. Every year I went to cape cod my parents always did the planning for us and this year I'm on my own, I always go in the summer so this would be the first time I'm going in March. I don't know what places will be open or what to even do once we get there, I don't want to take my friends somewhere 5 hours away and not have a clue on what to do there. What places should I take them, and what's some fun things to do. I live right on the bay but I'm not sure if its going to be too cold. And please dint say drink and smoke because we already got that part covered, we need thing to do other then that as well obviously! Start brainstorming!

Do mom and dad know you are doing this? You see, in Massachusetts, they are legally liable for everything you and your pals do.
Nothing you would want to do in Eastham will be open, and it is likely to be cold and windy. No beach, no clubs, no bars since they card like crazy and you guys are all under age.
I live in Nantucket, not the Cape, but I'll tell you what would happen here. It will be similar over there.
Someone would see all the out of state plates and the coming and going, and when the party gets noisy, they would call the cops.
The cops would see that you were underage and in possession of alcohol and if they smell dope, they have probable cause to search the house.
Then they haul you all in and call mom and dad. Next morning, you go before a judge who gives you a date for an arraignment and tells you when to come back with a lawyer to plead guilty or not guilty.
So mom and dad hire you a lawyer. Sometime between one and three weeks later, you have to go back to Massachusetts to plead. They give you the date, though your lawyer can try to get you a convenient one.
In the meantime, your lawyer will negotiate with the prosecutor ("good kids, never in trouble, nice parents, going to college") and you will be able to plead to reduced charges. You will probably get have to pay court costs of about $500 and will be told to return in a year. If you stay out of trouble for the year, no dope, no booze arrests, they will clear your record. Screw up or don't show for a court date, and you have a warrant out for you.
So: two trips back to Massachusetts, lawyers fees, court fees, mom and dad ripsh_t, other parents ripsh_t, and god help you if anyone gets hurt because it rapidly gets a lot worse.
This is a common story in resort areas, and it is always a bad idea. You can sometimes get away with it in the summer because there is a lot going on. In the winter, you guys might as well put signs on your cars saying, "Bust me! Bust me!"

I forgot about community service. If the offense is big enough, you will have to do community service to clear the offense from your record. A famous entertainment industry executive will have to commute from California to do his community service as will a Boston financial exec who got drunk in a restaurant and decided to swing from a chandelier.
The service is deliberately divided up into segments of ten hours a week so you will have to come back lots. Time is more important than money to a lot of people, and while going to Nantucket or the Cape is fun, it is not fun even when you arrive in a Citation when you have to pay your own way for the privilege of picking up trash, cleaning the cages at the dog pound, and so forth.
You are five hours from Eastham. Five hours to the Cape, five hours home and ten hours in between cleaning school buildings will take a hunk out of your social life.

Could this be a troll? Reasons for suspicions:
1. Poster readily publicly states (implies) that they'll be underage drinking and smoking (I'll assume the latter means drugs).
2. I find it hard to believe that parents would okay this plan for their son/daughter to take 13 teenagers to a summer home five hours away from their regular home, unescorted by any adults. (On the other hand, if it's okay with the parents....well....no comment!)

My parents do know I'm taking my friends to cape cod, and the neighbors isn't a problem. We have one set of neighbors next to us. i don't know the ones across the street though but they never seem to be around. and we aren't going to be "partying" in another words its a group of extremely close friends and we wont have music blasting, we will most likely just hangout. most of us are 18 if not 17. we have 3 cars which is the same amount my family takes every year. The neighborhood knows us pretty well!. The story with the next door neighbors is that we've been friends with them for years, their an old couple who are almost 100 years of age. This has been our family home for over 30 years. And their will be absolutely no pot.
