Hi- weather should be high 60's to mid 70's-- not swim in the beach weather unless a heat wave comes thru===but you can lay on the beach....just the ocean temps have not come up to swim temps yet....

If you are into GOLF, there are over 100 golf courses- all public and accessible....

Yes, it will be shorts weather- depending on where you are from--but also bring some slax and a windbreaker for nite...

GO to Broadway at the Beach- tons of neat shops and restaurants....and movies.

Also Dixie Stampede- a country and western nite spot- NOT a bar- but a show to watch....

If you are into putt-putt golf, there are some great and innovative putt-putts and goony golfs...

Also drive down to Pawleys Island and go sightseeing...

AND if you get totally bored ,you are only 2 hrs from Charleston, so it is doeable for a day trip......

Oh, you are going to be a part of Canada days in MB!! Go just a half hour south of MB to Murrell's Inlet for excellent dining. Try Russell's, Inlet Crab Restaurant (it looks like a shack--it is excellent), Hana's, Phish or Fish something (it is new and good). At the Inlet Crab Restaurant have an oyster roast.
Charleston--walk around the historic district, go to Middleton Plantation. On the drive between Georgetown and Charleston DO NOT exceed the speed limit. It is tempting because the road is so good and not crowded but it is heavily patrolled.

Oh,yes, there are 2 or 3 excellent outlet malls. The nicest and newest is just north of MB on 17.

Since you are staying off the beach, as long is it is in the 70's you will be able to swim at your hotel pool. You are right at Broadway At The Beach so you will have access to tons of shopping, dining, and nightlife.
