Went to Scottsdale and Sedona about 4 years ago in Aug. Very hot & dry in Scottsdale (over 100). Expensive, even in the summer, but nice country. Visit the Camelback Inn (unless you can afford to stay there).

When in Sedona take a jeep tour and visit the Indian ruins. Also get a message at one of the resorts! Great fun and very "spiritual" place. Would definitely go back!

Suggest you telephone (during business hours) the Sedona Chamber of Commerce -- 1-800-288-7336 -- and request your free copy of "Experience Sedona," their free booklet on what to do, where to stay, where to eat, etc.

Just returned from a week in Sedona. Beautiful scenery and alot to do. We golfed at several golf courses, hiked (there are many trails from easy to strenuous check at your resort for maps) took a biplane ride and a jeep ride. There are also horse rides, fishing and tennis if you`re sports oriented.
We ate at Shugrue`s Hillside Grill and it was excellent. There are many good italian resturants in the area. Be sure to watch the sunset over the rock formations. Will definately go back. Enjoy!

There's Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West in Scottsdate if you like interesting archetecture. Try the Pink Pony in old Scottsdale and visit some of the the art galleries there. Scottsdale is not really pretty but good shopping and great basefall fams. There's an old restaurant outside of Scottsdale which is famous for its sticky buns.....they have great huevos rancheros. Go for brunch.

You have to see the rocks in Sedona in different lights to get the magical feel of the place.

Be sure to visit Montezuma's Castle, cliff dwelling, along the way.

It has been 3 years since we have been to Sedona. We went jeeping and went up in a hot air balloon one morning. We saw the sun come up over the cliffs. It was beautiful. We stayed in a hotel that was located by the Sedeona Airport up overlooking Sedona. Beautiful.
