You could drive about an hour east and visit Palm Springs. Do a search on this site for Palm Springs and you'll find lots of ideas for what to do there.

Hmmm, go to the Ontario Mills mall during the day. Get drunk and hang out with mulletheads at night. That's about it.

Although crowded during the holidays, you could go to the mountains at Big Bear and ski. It's a large winter recreational area. Or as previous mentioned, to Palm Springs, possibly an overnighter to Death Valley. A quick run to Las Vegas?

About an hour away is Temecula which has some wineries if you like to go wine tasting.

First of all Rob: PLEASE DO NOT SHOUT.

Now then, Ontario is only about 30-40 miles away from Disneyland, Hollywood, and Knotts Berry farm.

There is also a water park called Raging Waters in or around Ontario and an amusement park called Scandia.

Scandia is a minature golf course and a few bumper boats - hardy an amusement park in sense of what you find in close by OC (Disneyland, California Adventure, Knott's Berry Farm). All of these are are fairly close by for a day trip.

Gee Rob, it might help if you fill us in on a little more info. Family, single, couple? Age? Car for transportation? Interests? How far are you willing to drive for a day trip? Give us something to go with.

"V" pretty much said it all. You could also run down to San Diego for a day trip.

Why do posters never bother to check in and answer some questions? For instance, it would be helpful if Rob confirmed if it is Ontario in California that he's asking about.

Well, we who have answered know he means CA because we actually checked the search to see that he put it under CA. But we do need to know if any of the stuff we suggested is interesting to him.

Don't plan on finding a lot of gay bars in the Ontario area. Maybe you could drive into West Hollywood one night.

I was just there and it is far from anything great. You can drive 50 mph allmost anywere. The good restaraunts are at Foothill. The best restaraunt I found was a sushi restaraunt on foothill.

Ontario is actually quite centrally located. Within an hour's drive of amusement parks, skiing, desert fun, beaches, museums, wineries, etc. In Southern California everyone is very used to driving. If you point us in the direction of your interests, maybe we could provide better suggestions.
